Cari Zalloni, the legendary designer of Cazal Eyewear, was born in 1937 in Greece with Italian and Austrian Roots. He started designing sunglasses in 1975 and named the range Cazal. In the early 80s Cazal made a huge impact in the eyewear market, with its eccentric design and attention to handcrafted detail. These are now known as our vintage Cazal sunglasses. Cazal quickly became the accessory of choice on the American Hip-Hop scene, with celebrities such as RUN DMC and The Fat Boys wearing the retro sunglasses on their record covers. Over the years Cazal has endured as the essential sunglasses brand as seen on the industries top artists; Jay Z, Beyonce, Gwen Stefani and Rihanna.
